Each pin independently rotates, and moves up/down providing a gentle fluid motion that detangles hair without pulling, significantly reducing pain and increasing Cat comfort. Typically cats groom themselves but sometimes they need assistance when hair is severely angled and snarled. Kitties and Cats have tender skin so brushing through mats and tangles without gently untangling first is painful. Important: hold the mat at the skin level and untangle working from tip to the skin.
