Works great for freshening breath and cleaning dogs teeth. They love the taste and it worked within a few weeks. Safe, natural, and easy to use.I sprinkle on my dogs' food morning and night, and they gobble it up. Plan on continuing.I use this product for my pups, and usually costs $49 at most places. Exactly as described.Noticed a reduction of the tartar on my dogs teeth after using it daily for about a week. I sprinkle it on the dogs food and he eats it right up!I need Whitties to go with my precious smileTJ BowlesI have used ProDen PlaqueOff on my dogs for years. It has kept the plaque off their teeth. I have a 12 year old dog that started on it as a puppy and has never had to have her teeth cleaned at the Vet. My Vet is always amazed at how good my dogs teeth look. I don't do any extra cleaning myself. I am sure it doesn't work the same for all dogs, but it has worked great on my last 3 dogs. I sprinkle it on their food and it has never been a problem with them not eating their food.Product delivered the next day. Thank you! The scoop is tiny, relative to a pinch of product. Should last a while, even with large dogs. We find it unnecessary to risk their health under anesthesia for teeth cleaning. This is a very effective healthy addition to high quality food and regular cleaning toys/bones. We have a german shep that has chronic problems with tarter, this is the most effective product we've used and he likes how it tastes.3/12/14 Update- In only 2 weeks, SIGNIFICANT changes. We saw our Vet today w/ GSD. Her quote: "Wow- he looks like he has shiny puppy teeth again! And his gums are improving. Amazing! What was that product again?" Wish I had taken Before-After photos. His breath has also significantly improved. It is "Amazing!" Really surprised to see results like these at all, let alone in 2 weeks. There are some build up areas close to the upper gum line remaining thus far (you know- in the 2 weeks of use ha and probably where the gums were swollen.) Vet could tell this area is also already receding. We used exactly as directed for large breed canines. I didn't expect to see anything for at least 6 weeks. The scoop is like the size of a small pinkie finger nail tip. I was looking at the scoop, looking at the 125Lb GSD, thinking "He has more sand under his toe nail right now than this scoop measures." I've been with Amazon- well since the garage days :) I think I've written 4-5 reviews total, including this one. I am a monthly avid, let's say "supporter" of Amazon. Huge fan of Amazon. The Wellness Complete Health dog food and this product cannot be praised highly enough.I also saw some product Trolls in comments as I prepared to update. Congenital heart failure? Someone forgot to Google "Canine Dilative Cardiomyopathy." 2nd tip for Trolling: If you're going to troll a natural, incredibly effective, ridiculously cost effective competitor who's main ingredient is seaweed, you're better off claiming it made your dog want to go to the beach or in this example, Copenhagen.^5 Proden. We're grateful. Our beautiful boys are so happy and showing off their now pearly whites. Our Vet intends to recommend your product to others. I even wrote a review :)I bought this for the first time several years ago and wasn't impressed enough to repurchase it at the time. Earlier this year, however, I had been told by the vet that both my cats' teeth were starting to look tartar-y and that they may need a dental in another year. I've tried brushing my cats' teeth before and that just didn't work, so I decided to give this product another go.The cats get dental kibble in the morning and canned food at night; I sprinkle the PlaqueOff on top of their canned food and they don't seem to mind the taste. A different vet at the same animal hospital saw one of my cats a few months after they had been on PlaqueOff and said her teeth looked great - in fact, she asked if the cat had just had a dental! I told her the cat didn't have a dental recently, just that I'd started using PlaqueOff.PlaqueOff works better for one of my cats than the other, and works better in general for my cats than it does for my two dogs. Because of this I can see why there are varying reviews on the product. I'm guessing it has something to do with an animal's current dental state as well as its individual mouth chemistry that determines how well PlaqueOff works for it. I'd say it's worth trying the small container, as it lasts a while (unless you have very large or very many animals), and sticking with it for several weeks. I saw results, so buying a bigger container was naturally the next step for me when we ran out.For the dogs, I still give them PlaqueOff because it doesn't hurt and *might* help, but I've found that a good combo for them is Dental Fresh in their water bowl and C.E.T. Hextra chews every night. Works like a charm for my pups!
