These are very nicely made - no rough edges, perhaps they are resin? Very smooth and "kind" to hair - no snagging or roughing it up. As for volume the clips hold, they are quite adaptable - there is an inner set of teeth within the clip, so even smaller amounts of hair are held securely. The Ivory, brown and maroon are nice. The olive green was not what I was hoping for. I DO wish these were available in more ADULT colors! I would buy them if offered in more office-appropriate colors!They are rather plain, but in a very nice, understated way. I am really impressed with the quality of the material and workmanship, and the value for the price is a winner for me!
