I HAVE OTHER DOG COMBS THAT ARE PRICEY BUT NONE ARE AS GOOD AS THIS ONE! THIS DOESN'T SCRATCH MY AUSSIEDOODLE'S SKIN AND GOES THROUGH THE HAIR WITHOUT CATCHING AND YANKING OUT ANY SNARLS. IT GLIDES THROUGH SO EASILY AND IS UNDOUBTED A BETTER PRODUCT THAN THE OTHER DOG COMBS I HAVE PURCHASED BEFORE! GREAT, SUPER, TERRIFIC BUY!!!My dog loves this brush. He is very particular about brushing. my dog has very soft and long fur and this brush does very well detangling it without pain.I REALLY hated spending SO MUCH MONEY on a dog comb. I actually contemplated it for quite sometime before I gave in to the recommendations from my fellow golden doodle owners. Still hurts to think about but the comb does a very thorough job with getting through the curly coat of my dog without hurting him. My dog is pretty relaxed when I comb him so the price is worth it.The comb is very well made. Very smoothly finished so that it glides through the fur. Unlike the trashy china made knockoffs, nothing falls off the comb with use. I use it to dematt my long hair senior cat who stopped doing a good job grooming herself after a recent major dental operation. I found the best way is to use this comb to isolate the tangled knot and then use the comb in a light scratching pulling motion to slowly untangle the knot a little bit at a time. It does not seem to bother the cat grooming this way as she stays steady and even purrs. My “old kitten” is now sporting a silky smooth fur again.I just love this comb! It’s called a butter comb and I now no why.. it goes through my coton hair like butter!!Through the years, have bought several brands. At the time I thought they were good combs. That was until I bought this comb. The finish is the huge difference, or so I think. Comb glides through coats and even very thick coats so easily. Even if you don’t groom your dogs - you still have to maintain their coats.Really superior for dense coat grooming. Great for grooming our dense curly coated poodle! And very gentleif done right. Watch the videos on youtube!I have a 5 month old Havanese puppy. Since bringing her home at 9 weeks, I have purchased a pin brush, slicker brush, dual sided brush w rubber knobs on ends, 360 comb and another similar. She hates every one of them but I kept at it knowing it was necessary as her coat grows out. I have spent more money on those combined than on the purchase of the CC butter comb and a small CC wooden pin brush (both of which the forums all recommended but I couldn’t get past the $5x and $3x coat)!!! Both arrived today and brushing and combing commenced. My dog laid down distressed but eventually rolled over on her back wanting more! So worth the money for quality, east of use, ease of coming through her growing coat, no tugging and pulling and honestly, made for a nice experience for both of us! Just take the plunge! Think about how much you have spent up to this point…and you will never need to again!!It may be a dog comb, but I purchased it for a problem cat, he's 13 yrs and fluffy coated, hates being worked on - he has a cotton-y undercoat and felts if i leave him be in spring and fall - finally shelled out the money - it works SO well he only tried to bite me once - then flopped and let me comb him and his darn fluffy pants (back of his thighs) ( usually he tries to eat my hands and whatever comb i'm using) so he's definitely happier and i am HAPPILY (mostly...lol) scratch free.... only had it 1 day and I love this comb already. This comb drags through my standard poodles coat. Right from day one I was disappointed knowing how highly recommended Chris Christensen products are, and what I paid for it. It's been sitting in my cabinet for months while I use an $8 no-name comb that works exponentially better. This comb looks and feels well built! It’s easy to use and my cat enjoys it. However on the second or third day, I noticed the coating cracks at the base of the teeth where it meets the spine. I didn’t drop or scratch it and I’m not too sure if it came in like this. For items at this price point, I can’t accept the quality standard and for that reason I’m returning the order.I bought this comb after my $10 greyhound comb began to shed its tines. It’s excellent. I have a soft coated wheaten terrier and the comb glides right through his fur. Comparable to the other top-notch grooming brands. I expect it to last a lifetime and am very happy with it.Totally different from my other Chris Christensen Comb, it wasn’t fine enough and very heavy to hold. Has sent back to the sender , but hasn’t gotten my money back .
