GREAT-METAL-LINKS HELD SPIKES IN PLACE DURING 100s OF HIKES IN SNOW, ICE, MUD 2017/18. ...DURING SUMMER 2018, I stored boots with cleats STRETCHED TIGHTLY Over boots & rubber straps FATIGUED AND SNAPPED. So I recommend removing cleats/straps during long storage . However, metal-work underneath held up so well that I bought another pair, January 2019 & they are working perfectly. very good product. (December 2018, I bought a pair of look-alike cleats, but their metal links separated after 2 or 3 hikes, & I had to return them) Neither of my Vinqliq brand cleats have ever had their chain-links, or cleats, bend or separate. excellent quality-metal. thank you, terry. Can’t beat this traction for the price. Was recommended these by some hiking friends and tried them out this weekend on a steep and snowy trail. I felt secure the whole time. Wore them for probably 4-5 miles going up and down steep slopes traversing between two mountains and these made a huge difference. I don’t think I could have completed the trail without these. FYI don’t throw out the Velcro strap that comes with it! It helps keep the spikes secured on your feet.Great deal and even came with an extra strap to ensure the crampons are secured. I didn't need to use them during my first hike, but is very useful if needed. These made my hike MUCH easier with no issues.I used these for the first time 2 weeks ago during our first snow. We didn't really have ice for me to test them out but, i wore them while we were sled riding and they were perfect walking back up the hill dragging the sled. I didn't lose footing once.I gave it 4 stars because I think they run somewhat large. I could actually wear a smaller size. But, I was happy with there performance for my first time trial. I would recommend these !Have used these several times in the snow and ice. They worked great and provided the traction needed to safely navigate icy trails. Very comfortable and easy to put on and take off. Fit great in their storage page so you don’t have to mess around folding them exactly to get them to fit.I got these after falling on the ice and breaking my arm. I had a pair with just plain chains on them, and they broke after about 3 wears. These stood up well, and I can get them on and off with one hand. Yet, they stay on without any problem. Great grip! But, you need a chair by the door so you don't walk on your floors.I bough two of them and we tested with my friend on our winter hike in the mountain. Both were pleased.Good strong
