I typically have bought a similar type of clip that is a name-brand found at common drug stores and box stores. These clips I received are so much more comfortable compared to the name brand I bought before. These also stay place much better. I think the comfort and hold are mostly due to the bottom of the clip being flatter when the clip is in place (teeth are curved towards each other instead of cross and down towards the scalp). I have long fine hair that is fairly straight and about 2"-3" from my waist. This is the perfect size for me. I think it can accommodate much thicker hair so long as it's not close to waist-length.I'm throwing my old name-brand one out since I am so tired of it digging into my scalp and I could only get it to hold well if my hair was damp. These ones are much better. I wish I knew they could be like this and I would have switched sooner.
